Finding Generational Similarities To Improve Communication
Do your coworkers seem to have divergent thinking, learning or communication preferences? Maybe their values or the lens by which they see the world is different than yours? The year 2020 introduced unexpected changes to our lives, with more to come throughout 2021. From staying in the workforce longer than expected to working from home and having to home school children to corporate layoffs to feeling emotional due to events shared by the media, each of us experiences change in our own unique way. But, there are ways we can bridge the gap of differences, identify commonalities, honor one another, and begin to thrive together. Michael will share research identifying what shaped each generation working today and how we can begin seeing patterns of similarity from one generation to the next. This session will help you navigate tough conversations, teach you hands-on tools to manage change and create structures that lead to an engaged team.
